If you were to choose, do you like more residing in a city or just stay in a clean air town for a breath of fresh air. I personally would like to live in a not very much civilized town. I get to have a breath of fresh air there, I eat foods for free out of the vegetation that I worked hard for and I can do anything I want! Fresh rivers, I want to play and get wet there. I also love rolling to the steep green mountains touching the morning dew. How about you?

Hello, friend.:-) I personally prefer the peaceful and tranquil place in the rural areas. I grew up in the province but is now living in the city so I have the chance to compare which one is more preferable for me. I like to see green grasses growing in the fields and I like the smell of ricefields, listening to the water cascade in the river, chasing butterflies and dragonflies, too.LOL. These are the things I can't enjoy in the city.

Oh yes. The visual delight of rural areas are nothing but best satisfies your mood and makes you feel contented. You don't feel like seeking for more or what the world could give you better. Your sensation are very much fulfilled. The natural breeze of the air you feel, the fragrance of the wind in evening chills to morning dews, the chirps of the bird every morning. They are seemingly perfect.

I would prefer to live in a city because generally people are always busy with their own life and do not have time to be nosy about other people's business. I am phobic to criticism, which is one of the symptoms that I suffer from having social anxiety. So, being in a city gives me a relaxing mind than in a small town where everybody seems to be friendly but then have the tendency to gossip behind my back. That's my opinion, though. You may feel differently. Thanks!

We all have our reasons. I definitely understand what you were trying to say. But criticism also can't be taken away in the city. I believe there's more of it in city than in town. And in city, they are more of real criticism and town folks only pull out lies from their mouths which I believe is something that could be dangerous too. :)

I consider myself a very outgoing person when it comes to party and socialization, so I guess, I am preferring much being in a city and live a city life than a town man.

I could understand you. I am exactly the opposite. I am outgoing and capable of socializing but I hate to be in a sea of crowds.

HI ! I am the one, who would love to stay in smaller town than big /Metro city for various reasons. 1. Commuting from one place to other in big cities takes too much time and normally roads are too crowdy, I do not prefer that. 2. Town is free of pollution, people are more social in town. 3. We get extra time for hobbies, if we are staying in small town 4. We get relatively peace of mind in town and our creativity can flourish.

Just exactly what I am thinking. No, maybe more than what has been enumerated. I just can't count what I want to do in small towns. They seem infinite - the things I eventually benefit from small towns.

Same, uniqueorn. I grew up in cities but have lived in the country for most of my adult life. My town is very, very small - 1000 people at most, with a much larger town about 20 minutes drive. We have the ocean and sugarcane fields behind us and a river out the front. I can foresee a time I'll have to live in a city, like to move to help my parents when they need me, but for now, I wouldn't want to move. It's a great place for camping trips and other outdoors things and a great place to raise kids.

O yes. I think it's ideal to raise your children in town to at least not expose them early to the complicated world in town. Like let them be united first with nature. Then, let them mingle the city world later as they go to school.

Yes it is. There are some things we intend to overlook which needs more attention such as what the town can give us better than the life we have inside city. :)

I love the city. I have always lived in the city, and I am used to the city, so it is the city for me.

I love small cities too. You can go round all the places in just one day. Small cities are less complicated and has less population. Calm and soothing. It has modern facilities easy to access. O yes! Small cities are the best.

Suburbia for me. Although I do love the mountains, with my health I can't really get outside much to enjoy it. Suburbia keeps my close to all the things I need, with typically lesser crime rates, without the social stigma's that riddle small towns, and without the crime of the cities. Unfortunately, suburbia too is slowly turning into a crime ridden, industrial paradise.

That's a safe answer. But your health, as I understand it, has affected your preference. If the chance be given that you have no health hindrances, which would you better choose? Or do you mean, you are better off to be in suburbia because it's hard for you to survive in small towns and cities because of crime rate? Is that it?

I like to live from a suburb area with internet(aha..if possible) I like to feel the morning dew and the fresh air...the birds singing and the humming winds. Unlike here in the city where i am living right now, that, all i can hear were cars buzzing in and the smoke everywhere. With people always rushing here and there. I always love the serene of a suburban...with friendly people and happy faces too.

I like town atmosphere, fresh atmosphere keeps us fresh and tension free but just for vacation as city life is more luxurious even we are a middle class person than town life, 24/7 atm, well contruct rode, shopping malls,24/7 hospitals for any emergency and the main thing we get more earning opportunities in city compare to town.

Good point though. There are some things that small towns can't provide us like the 24/7 things. But I don't think they are necessary because in small towns I feel secured and safe. When it comes to health, there are no worries because I believe I eat healthy there and there's less trouble due to less population. When it comes to ATM, I don't think I need money. I have my clothing already, we can get foods from the vegetation in our yard. Those stuff.

Eventually, we can see beautiful places inside city. But isn't it way too expensive to live in this ideal place? Yo, anyway. Most likely, small towns are less prone to health risks.
