I know it is as simple as anyone can give answer. But I want to know, do you use calculator and which type of calculator you usually prefer to use. Its may be standard calculator, scientific calculator, mobile phone where calculator exists and yes it may be your PC where we have a nice calculator or anything else which is not known by us. Its simple question but may be some kind of fun in it. Lets speak up... Happy mylotting.

Hi key2write, I use calculator whenever I need. and I don't know how often I would use it. There is always a mini size calculator in my slim bag. It was a gift from my husband before going on my in job training in Taiwan many years back. It was quite difficult for me to calculate the rate of exchange the local currency here with that of Taiwan Due to this he then purchased this little gadget for me. It's really convenient for me to convert the currency during those days. The lovely little device is still in my slim bag. I use it whenever I need it to calculate a long list of stuffs to buy when doing shopping in the grocery. Yeah, we all prefer to use the calculator available in the pc while working on it. I sometimes like to do the calculation on excel. Happy posting

That is the real use of a calculator. I think before using currency conversion you have to set the current rate of exchange. Isn't it? Nice to here from you. Good day.

I use my calculator a couple of times a week. I still go to school, so I have to use it on my math and physics lessons. When I need to do some simple calculations, like addition, subtraction, multiplication and division, then I usually use my cell phones calculator. But when I need to do calculations with really big numbers or some geometrical operations, like calculating the sinus of the angle, then I use my scientific calculator.

It is nice to hear that you are a student. These days students use calculators in their studies. Mobile devices have many features including calculators. Yes many people use simple subtraction, addition etc. with mobile phones. Scientific calculators have greater advantages in compare to standard one. Maths, physics lessons have many difficult sums which needs scientific calculator to solve. Calculators changed the entire world basically students like you get more helps. Keep mylotting, good day.

When I need to work out my money, bills, shopping and stuff like that. I have a Scientific calculator somewhere, you know the ones with 50 billion buttons and a massive screen. Haven't had to use it since I stopped doing maths after High School (no way was I continuing such a dreaded subject beyond that stage).

Great to hear that you have a Scientific calculator. But if you are doing difficult sums with cos, sin, root etc. than it is needed. In other conditions standard calculator is enough for doing any plus, minus, divide calculations. Yes, maths have some calculations which are very difficult and it becomes dreaded if we can't able to handle it. Have a nice time.

I use the calculator all of the time when I have to do math. Of course, I avoid doing math whenever possible but there are certain times when it cannot be avoided. So I use a calculator to make my life easier. When I try and do math in my head or worst of all, on paper, there tends to be some interesting and quite inaccurate results. I used to be good at math at one time but now that's passed me by. As for the type of calculator, I'm looking at the label right now as we speak. A Texas Instruments TI-83 Plus. That calculator helped me survive my college algebra class. It has a lot of great functions on it. I also have a calculator on my computer that I can use in the case of the emergencies but I use my actual physical calculator most of the time.

Thats great, it is fine to use calculators in time consuming maths like algebra. See today many difficult calculations which takes hours without calculator. But with the use of calculator we can solve it in seconds. Accuracy, speed and lots of works possible because of the great calculators. Have a wonderful day.

That's fine. If you use it everyday than you must know that how it saves your lots of time. Using calculators is a good habit, I think so. It is better to motivate others to use calculators. I want to share an example; if you going to a shop. Shop owner calculate manually everytime a person purchase lots of goods. Think what will happen if he has a long list. What will be his profit at the end of the day. What will be his mental conditions after a long calculations. Anyway, have a nice day.

hi! i use a calculator maybe once or twice a month, because I study literature, which has nothing to do with mathematics :) I use it only when I need to see if the bill I have paid in the shop is fair or there is some mistake, done by the seller!

Hi, Calculators are essential tools for everybody. Your subject is literature but you need calculators for daily works. Nobody can avoid this essential tool, so it is better to use it when it will be necessary for us. Good day.

I don't have a real calculator. When I need to calculate big numbers I often use the built in calculator in my mobile phone. If I'm working on the PC, I usually use the calculator app in windows.

Nowadays most of the mobiles have in built calculators. It is easy to use such calculators. People often forget to use their mobile phones for calculations. Recently I met a friend he doesn't know that his mobile have in built calculator. He never use his mobile for any calculation. But after reminded by me he realize this matter. Have a nice day.
