I am interested in hearing other comments about this med. It works great for nerve pain. Although I don't think it is prescribed for that purpose. I do know that it is an anti anxiety med prescribed mainly for seizures. My doctor prescribed Amitryptaline for my lower back pain and sore burning feet. I have found that 1mg near bedtime reduces the foot pain and burning feet issue greatly. I think it relaxes the nerves in the lower back region allowing peaceful sleep by eleminating the sore/burning feet issue. Any comments would be welcome.
