Is it better to drink water before , after or within meal?

When you prefer to drink water? I prefer to drink after meal. What is your habit? Which time is proper?

I prefer to drink water before meal, i drink plenty of water to make myself full and avoid consuming too much.Water make me feel full so i am not worry about taking in more carbs because water already fills in my hunger and that's a good way to weight management .I also drink water after meal. Happy mylotting!!

What kinds of vitamins will you get from Water? Does it really avoid hunger? You have a different kinds of experience with water. Water can not fulfill my hunger? Share?

Water is not to avoid hunger vine its keeps you feel full to avoid taking in more foods and carbs resulting in gaining weight,,,So water is the first thing I intake before any meal because it can avoid me to eat more,so its essential to drink water if you want to keep your self fit.Water never let you gain weight unless you're bloated kinda water retention, but water retention can be release by taking in some food rich in potassium(banana)etc can absorb water retention from our body..In your question about what water can give us,it can release toxin and waste from our body, that can cause some unwanted results.So its advisable to drink at least 6-9 glasses of water everyday to keep you away from dehydration and keep your water supplies reach its minimum capacity. hi Vine, I heard that drinking water before meal is not a good habit as it washes away all the necessary Digestive acid. I think you know the digestion process in human body..MAny people think that drinking water before meal kills hunger and we can eat less. But they dont know this thing...Actually i prefer to drink in the morning after washing my teeth...after having meal i take two to three sips or sometimes a glass full of water. It is useful to clean your teeth too... :)

I always drink water before a meal, because I want to get rid of any past meal tastes before I eat my next. I never drink anything during the meal, unless it is coffee and doughnuts, because I don't like the watered out taste of food, unless it is bad tasting. If I like the food, and it isn't filled with garlic or onion, then I will often not drink water, but if I don't have a tooth brush and I ate something with bad breathe ingredients, then I will drink water to minimize the effects of bad breath.

Hi vine, Actually there is a difference of opinion of drinking water before, in between or after meals. I am really confused with different information and my habit is drinking water after the meal. I never drink water in between meals or before meals.

I have heard that drinking water before eating is not good, because the food doesn't get digested right, si water should be drunk after eating. But I have a problem, I can't eat unless I drink a glass of water. I am always thirsty before I eat, and I believe that this is what keeps me really thin.

I usually drink a glass of water before I eat a big meal so I'm not over eating....I've been struggling with weight for along time and I find that helps me not over eat....I will sip at water sometimes during my meals I try to drink lots of water as it's good for you...

I try to drink at least 2 litres water a day. I find it beneficial to keep my internal system clean. I drink a glass of water in the morning and always keep a bottle of water beside me while eating. It helps me digest my food better. I do drink during and after the meal.

i follow experts and dietician advise, i drink water and hour or 30 min. before meal, the same after my meal, i think the reason is so that your tummy will not be blotted and avoid that having flappy tummy after meal..

Hi, vine88. I prefer to drink water when I am thirsty. And this can be in between meals. But when I am eating, I usually will drink water as I have eaten half of my food. Or when I need to swallow chunks of my food down my throat.

I usually drink water after meals. I don't usually drink in between. However, for those who are interested in maintaining a diet and to stop oneself from eating too much, it is advisable to drink water before eating meals in order to feel "stuffed" already.

My habit is to drink water before every meal to wet my throat, in between and even after. If i were to eat spicy food, drinking water after every scoop of food into my mouth is a must! Heh

About 6 years ago I use to weigh 250lbs. I felt miserable. I have to say, now I feel great having lost all that weight and I owe most of it to water. I personally drink up to 6 glasses a day. I learned throughout the years that water is very important to the human body. It's main role is to keep the body hydrated, moving particles through the body faster and help remove any obtained water in the body. The thing is that you have to get into the habit of drinking at least 5 to 8 glasses every day. Even with your meal. I drink water right after my meal and also within the meal.

well,my habbit is drinking while im eating.. but i know that drink one (minimum) before the meal makes into our body feel more full, and would not eat all the food..thanks for asking, have a nice day

one can drink water anytime. before and after, even while eating. drinking water before a meal dramatically lessens your food intake. drinking it while eating helps in pushing the food. and drinking water after a meal, washes the food that lines up our system from the mouth down to the stomach. normally, however, people prefer to gulp their water after a meal.

I have heard that drinking water before the meal will make you lose the weight. On the contrary, drinking water after the meal will make you gain the weight. I am not sure whether it is true or not. I like to drink water after meal but my weight is still the same. I love China
