"The Spy next door", Jackie Chan is too old for action

I didn't see tha movie, but I saw the previews- it looked like a total cheese-fest of a movie. w

Oh my, I feel that too :( maybe he should stop doing some action movies. I feel that he would break his back or something. But I think the new Karate Kid (Where Jackie Chan plays the teacher of the kid) is a good role for him. It suits him, being a mentor not the one doing the kick-butt action sequences. But I really like Jackie Chan. Every time he makes a move our family always watches him :D

He looks like he can still kick butt. I am amazed also though that he keeps making action movies. Now he's in Karate Kid or something. Some of his movies are a little dumb, like the Medallion and Around the World in 80 days. I liked Shanghai Noon & Knights.

Hi kingparker, I think Jackie Chan doing good in that movie base on its story line. He play as a will be retired spy and his action stuff still as good as the old time. But I agree with you that in general, Jackie Chan is at the end of his action stun era. He is not very suitable to be a kung fu master again. He may be can act as a supporter or a teacher/sifu. But as a capitalism, the movie maker would not see it. As long as Jackie Chan has the long list of fan and they are willing to watch his movie, this films maker would not care whether Jackie Chan still can kick or not.

as far as age is concern as long as the actor can still carry the stunt then theirs no age limit for that. besides his the one whose doing all the stunt in that movie unlike other actor that even if they ar still young they dont take their chance to take the stunt but they rather use stuntman for that. jackie chan still doing good in the movie so i dont think his too old for any kind of action.
