So the debate come up with my mother the other day about spoiling my sisters daugther. I said she should not go all out on her every holiday and to put 25 or 50 dollars in a savings account. But as we were growing up she spoiled the both of us and we loved it. The issue was when I got to be 16 I had no savings at all. So I had to work to get my first car and had nothing for college either. I know as of now I am not a parent but I know I will be having a savings account. Yes they will get stuff but not going all out. I figured if you deposit a little here and a little there it will add up. So what do you do?

I'm torn on my answer for this... I am all for "living for the moment", yet it would be nice for kids to have money saved up for them when they grow up. I really don't know which is better.
