It is fantasy to say 'Whenever he wants to retire that is the best time for his retirement'.I think everyone should have to take retirement in right time. This is applicable for sachin also.My suggestion is after the 2011 world cup he should take his retirement because till then many of our younger players will improve a lot & will reach their peak form.as well as we should provide rest to him who gave the prime time of his life to cricket, so that he can spend his remaining life with pleasure & dignity .I think it is our duty to provide him rest. But as a cricket lover I must say that I don't want to give him rest, want to see him play till my death.thanks

No disrespect intended, but you've put in eight more question marks than is necessary for any discussion. There's a part in the TOS regarding this issue. I'm not meaning to be rude; I'm just trying to give you a heads-up on this. Happy MyLotting!

do you always wear what is only 'necessary'? then you(not only u but also they who think in this pattern) must have cover yourself with an ordinary pant & shirt & don't have to wear other dresses alternatively.I just want to highlight my discussion in my style as u do it by changing your dresses alternatively.

I think sachin should announce his retirement after 2011 world cup.. He should take rest, he has been playing for many years, he certainly need rest.. He is fit, everybody knows it, so at the end of world cup 2011, sachin should announce his retirement and take rest and maintain his wealth and spend time with his family ...

well he may retire from odis after coming world cup, but i wish him to continue test a littile more. and sachins retirement is puerly up to him, it should be announced only by him. no one should force him. if he wants to play till 50years then also there is no problem it will be only good for indian cricket.

I think test need more hard work than ODI as it 'test' players' skill for 5 days, which will make the player very tired & can spoil his longevity.

He'll surely retire from ODI after the world cup... But in Tests he'll continue untill he is in a good position with his statistics, I mean in no.of centuries. As you all know ponting is rocking these days.... He is the only contender in this highest centuries race....

I think test more hard work than ODI so he should continue ODI not test.I don't think sachin plays for statistics only.

This question has been asked many times and Tendulkar's answer is this: Every cricketer knows when to retire. I'll go with Tendulkar's answer. It's just so obvious what he is saying. I mean think about that for a while. Sachin has played cricket for over 20 years now and he has got the highest experience in cricket than any other person in the world. Having so much experience, it would be stupid for someone to still guide him and tell him "you should retire now". I strongly believe that he is the one to know that better than anyone else in the world. It is his body, not ours... Sum it up with the experience he has got in cricket and you'll feel how stupid it for someone to "tell" sachin when to retire.

i dont want him to retire but not possible in reality.if india wins world cup, sachin will retire but if we failed again,he might have to wait for a big tournament to to retire.either a 100 ti finish things off or a duck to be in the league of sir donald bradman

well sahchin tendulkar knows best when to retire and he has already given a hint in the past that he might only continue playing test cricket after the 2011 world up. so hope that India will win this world cup for sachin tendulkar. not sure how well youngsters will step up but no one will get even half as close to sachin tendulkar.

I think he will retire after the next world cup. But I wish he should retire only after he makes, 100 fifty's and 50 century's. This is my wish and I hope this wish come true.

O my dear, he will make 100 fifty's & 50 century's before the world cup.

Sachin is playing better now than in the the past.He has imporved his techniques than any of us could imagine. He should continue with the same spirit and win the world cup for India. So at this time we should not talk about Sachin's retirement.Chak De India
