I think it varies a lot. For a woman its very difficult to love his daughter in law as her daughter and it goes same for the daughter in law also that she can never love her mother in law as much as she loves her mother.Though i will say this only require adjustment , compromising and so on for a happy family. But i think a girl never adjust or compromise for her own mother.Suppose for an example when i was annoyed with my mother for any reason i could say anything to my mother and my mother could also say anything but its not possible in case of my mother in law if any thing makes me angry i can't say anything.what u think?

Hi Alivia, I think it depends on the individual, whether she can treat her daughter in law as her own daughter. In my experience my mother in law is exceptional and she is treating her daughter in laws equally (we are four) and loves them than her own daughters. I think the problem exists in nuclear family where may be only one son. People are different and every kind of individual exists in this world.
