I have seen an advertisement for a person to perform past life regression on someone, to help them get to the core of why they were depressed, how would that actually work to relieve depression.

The Regression technique available here takes the participant into the inner space of the third eye where it becomes possible to delve deeply into the subconscious. It is then possible to easily find and release emotional scars from this life and past lives. http://www.pastlife-regression.com/ The Catholic Church does not have an official position on hypnosis. According to the Catholic Encyclopedia, the Church warns Catholics to be on their guard against the abuses of “magnetism and hypnotism” but “leaves the way free for scientific research.” http://www.catholic.org/printer_friendly.php?id=25480§ion=Cathcom I do have my doubt about this method. I don't exclude it but I won't vouch for it. You have made me research what PLR is and what does the catholic church says about it. Thanks for bringing this interesting subject into discussion.

If you would have asked, anyone believe in past lives, then I would have said, yes, certainly. But also in past life regression? Well, I have this feeling one needs to be careful here, the quality of the therapist is incredibly important. It is best to come up with ideas yourself, you have all the knowledge about yourself within you and it will surface when you soul thinks the time is ripe. Usually by meeting someone important whom you do in fact know from a past live, the soul remembers, and you will know because you are ticked off beyond what is normal in a first encounter. Then ask yourself, when and where did I meet this person before? If your soul wants you to know, the imagery will come up. Well, that's my 2 cents worth, maybe literally:-)
