The first day I stepped into a school, I had a mixed emotion. However, the feeling of nervousness prevailed. I was totally shy and wanted to shun company. I just opened my mouth to greet teachers. A smile on my face was so hard to wear. Everytime my name was called, I trembled and got paled. It seemed like I was a great guilty sinner who would be subjected for confrontation. My first school teacher and my first adviser exerted an effort to talk to me for few minutes a day. Asking lots of questions about me, my feelings, my family, my experiences etc. until finally I confided her. She was my guidance counselor and my mentor. It was because of her that I came out from my shell. Her advices and encouragement brought the best in me. I can never forget her. I am always looking up to her as my model. I am now a teacher. Hoping may not as exactly the same as her but to be like her in my own ways.

I had this teacher who taught us choral recitations. She volunteered to teach us table manners and everything that could be classified as 'classy' I still remember one choral recitation of hers ringing in my ears: Whether the weather be fine Or whether the weather be not, Whether the weather be cold Or whether the weather be hot, We’ll weather the weather Whatever the weather, Whether we like it or not! This was more to teach us when to use the word 'whether' and when to use the word 'weather' Oh! Those were the days!
