Hell0 my MyLot friends. I know that many of you have their regular job, that they like or at least try to like, and where you go every day from Monday to Friday! But what will you do, if you boss comes to you today and tells you that you are dismissed? How would you react, what would you do tomorrow when you wake up, realizing that you don't have to go to work???

Well let me see. If that ever happens, he can close his bussiness, as well. But if it ever happens, i am willing to leave this ountry and give my service to some company who will appreciate me as a employee and not a machine. Hope you can make sense of this. TATA.

phew!!! it's kinda real scary, isn't it? especially if you have mouths to feed. been there, done there and would not like to return there again. would probably have to go around looking for surveys to be done, papers to be marked, brochures to be given away, cups, dishes, pots and pans to be washed, etc, etc, etc. and all these experience should teach us to be more sensitive to other people and to lots of things around us.

yes, it is kind a scary :) yes, we should try everything to find a new job and to earn enough to feed the family! there are really many ways as you say, and no matter that hey could no tbe that profitable as the job we have loose!

If my boss dismisses me tomorrow then this time I won't worry about finding another job. I shall just get up and go to the pension office and sign-up. I went through that situation three years ago when the firm closed and I went and enquired how much longer I would have to wait to be entitled to the pension. they said two and a half years then and three have passed so if I needed or wanted to, I could claim and stop working

before i got this regular job in the government that i have now, i was having a part-time job in a courier company that continued until almost 10 years, even as i am still working in the government. meaning, i had two jobs for almost 6 years. when there was problem in the courier company, the management thought of cutting their expenses by slicing the number of personnel. and because i was not a regular worker, i was also told that i will be included in the lay-off. it was really disappointing that i lost a lot of income. but that doesn't stopped me from looking for some other source of income. and so, i stick to being active on myLot.

well, it sounds great having a job in the government :) I guess it is a little bit hard to have two jobs, no matter that the one is a part-time job, bbut it actually couldn't be a regular one, because you will not have that much time. well, i guess after you have quited the courier company you have still had the regular work in the government, which i think was a big help for you :) yep, mylot is a pleasant way to earn some extra money :)

first thing to do is of course to accept the fact that i dont have job anymore. so maybe ill just sleep late and think of the next move like looking for new possible employer. trying to update my resume or CV. have a vacation for a week then after a week ill go ahead and look for new job.

yes, that's maybe the best decision- sleep late, so that you can relax and refresh your mind, so that some new ideas come in :) the vacation I would also do, if i was fired by the boss, just so to relax for a while and then search for a new job

wow! that sounds really bad and scary. why do you think it will be the end of you and your family? the job is really something very important but not that much. and if you get dismissed, and you have the will and desire you could easily find a new job!

yep, that's what I said :) don't get that upset about it

Sleep in. But then tomorrow's Saturday anyway. Actually if tomorrow were a weekday, I'd still have to get up and take the children to school. Then I'd start job hunting online...

Hi! yes, it is Saturday :) yeah, the people with children have definitely what to do :) I would also try to find some job online, there are so many companies which offer a job online, but the most of them are regular jobs, and I am looking for a part-time one!

hi there i have a brother in law who is dismissed because he didn`t want to drive with another person in the car ,that it is placed for two and they were three men...and his NO costed him the job in the time of low work trade... now he want to approve that the law is on his part and he is without work and money and if his boss is good businessman ,he should understand that good workers with high quality are rare and the big thing that angry me is that my brother in law is in that company for 5 years and that is no matter...

hell0 Elly. how are you? wow! If i were on his place I would do the same, because there are rules we must observe and if that really happened to him then he can sue the employer who have dismissed him, because it wasn't fair! tell him to do it, because I really hate people like his boss, who try to be something more than they are. if nothing goes right, he can always give him some good punches
