bet youd never hear those words strung together in the same sentence ehh? but according to a study.. if you have a high risk for Parkinsons disease.. its something you should do to lower that risk. http://www.aolnews.com/health/article/study-long-term-smokers-have-reduced-risk-of-parkinsons/19395098?icid=main|htmlws-main-n|dl2|link4|http%3A%2F%2Fwww.aolnews.com%2Fhealth%2Farticle%2Fstudy-long-term-smokers-have-reduced-risk-of-parkinsons%2F19395098 ive been a smoker for 20+ years.. and also have a history of parkinsons in my family medical history. this makes me feel slightly better about my habit lol how about you? will you look at smoking differently?

This was fascinating! I have a friend who was recently diagnosed with Parkinson's. She doesn't smoke herself, but her hubs does........wonder if second hand smoke would be more beneficial than harmful to her in this case? Thanks for the heads up on this. I will send her the link. And no, it doesn't really change my feelings about smoking. Like anything else these days, if you believed everything said or written about things, you'd be damned one day and saved the next by the same product. Common sense and listening to what your body tells you has always been my best barometer of what's good and what's bad for me.

I totally agree with you there on listening to your body and common sense.

Hey coffeeshot.......welcome to my friends list by the way, and I was surprised you weren't already on it. lol Yeah, I'm a firm believer in listening to the body, using common sense and not panicking at every little twinge. Helped a lot when I raising my kids too. Kept them out of the doctor's office every five minutes and meant REALLY good service when I did have to take them. lol
