My grandmothers funeral today ...was a well celebrated occassion

Yes we celebrated it ... 8 children, 20 grandchildren and 20++ great grandchildren .. she lived her life fully. she died on saturday. Meaning a weekend off for all of us, and lucky thing it was the beginning of school term holidays. All of us made it to her funeral.. We made sure the surrounding in the house was not sad at all, we were happy to meet up with far away cousins, nephews and nieces .. we laughed, hugged and kissed .. Dont take it wrong but she lived a wonderful life .. she was an only child, married off to a 45 year old man at the age of 13 and she lives behind a whole big family mourning for her .. she was born on 10/2/21 and died on 13/3/00. Widowed by the time she was 40. (Her mother, my great grandmother ..was also an only child, and i was the great grandchild in her funeral ... 30 years ago) But the saddest thing would be, she was the umbrella which held the whole family together ... and this could be the last time all of us may ever gather under one roof. I know for fact that this meeting may never happen again as the big tree has fallen already .. Have you been to a funeral celebration before ???
