I have two miniature poodles called Secret and Magic. We are so very lucky to live next to a riverside footpath and there are green fields beyond. It is so convenient for me to take my dogs out for a walk along the footpath and I love the rural views. My dogs adore trips to Sand Bay. There they love to run up and down the sand dunes.

At the end of our street, we have to cross a road and walk past our local High School, then we get to the river. This is one of the largest rivers in the area and alongside it are open park-lands with paths perfect for dog walking, bike riding and exercise in general. This is where our dog loves to be walked. She does love the beach, but usually drinks too much salt water and vomits all the way home, so we do not take her there anymore!

Gosh, maxi..I almost feel I shouldn't intercede...no swimming pools, here..and now NO doggie walks. It's just that I live very rurally on this SMALL Island, and have 3 acres...so my dog "Brew" has a doggie door, and is inside/outside all he wants...and truly doesn't stray from home, cuz he wants to be by my side all the time...other than chasing squirrels in the forest, and they seem to love it, as they can outrun him, and throw fir cones at him...it is hilarious..those little people teasing and outsmarting my little man in a fur coat. Take care and Cheers!

I dont have a dog but when I was young and lived with my parents they did have lots of dogs. We lived right next to the high school and would take our dogs for walks at the school. About 12 years ago they put up signs that animals are not allowed on the school grounds. Besides the fact people let there dogs poop places where students could step in the students could also get bit if a dog isnt on a leash or someone walks by to close. I guess its a pretty good rule but when they first put up the sign we were like oh no thats stupid now where will we walk our dogs. So then we just had to walk them around our yard after that.

I have about four or five acres, maybe more, and my dog likes to run around and play in it. I have a pretty long driveway and when I walk to the mailbox, I will let her go with me on a leash. The reason why I keep her on a leash is because she's bad to run out in front of cars. I also take her on a leash when I go to feed the horse because she likes to get out there and chase him. She has been kicked a few times and you would think that would teacher her a lesson but evidently, it hasn't. We also have a wlaking trail not far from where I live and sometimes I will take her with me to walk there. Kathy.
