what are you going to do if your partner is giving you a silent treatment?

In some relationship if someone do something bad, he/she will give a silent treatment. Its not really healthy in a relationship at all. But how can you convince her/him to discuss your problem without waiting for 1 week.

Sometimes the best thing to do is to let both parties cool off. It shouldn't take a whole week, but it may be as long as a few days. There's no sense in just having a shouting match where nothing gets resolved. The situation must be discussed in an adult fashion, with diplomacy and clear thinking.
