I have a cousin right now who is having a severe anemia but I can't give blood to her because her blood type is O and I'm type B. It is not compatible that's why even though I want to help her, I just can't. Would you give blood for someone whom you don't really know, a stranger, but so needy of the blood, would you donate yours?

Yes of course. Why not. blood donation is a unique donation . Do you know,Our body contains approximately 4.5 to 5 liters of blood out of which only 300ml blood is withdrawn. immediately after our body produces a new blood cells and thus the blood gets refresh . Therefore donating blood helps in stimulating generation of new blood.

yes i would if i'm capable of donating! Blood gives life and why would you not give it to someone who needs it? My father had an operation before and he needed blood. Fellow members from our church whom we don't know, (they're from other place/locale) came to the hospital to donate blood. we met them only for that time and Thank God for giving us those brethren. intelpink, isn't there a way for you to donate your blood in the hospital and swap it to the blood type of your cousin? it's the way that works here in the Philippines
