A very recent project was a crochet bag using plastic yarn. I was quite proud of it because I was able to make something out of recycled plastic bag and felt that in my small way contributed to the reduction of waste.

I agree you did a great thing. It is meaningful to make useful tool out of wastes. as for me, I think it would make me more comfortable using tools made by muself.

Would my handcraved crochet hook count as a tool? I handcarved my own crochet hook for this plastic bag project because I could not find a suitable hook size for my project.

I think all people have ever made something, or perhaps many things by themselves. I don't really get what is your mean for something on your question. Is it a stuff, or something action? I've made many things by myself, and i will keep making lots of things in my life. My works, my hobbies, everything, i make it myself. Have a nice day and happy mylotting.
