Friends, Have you ever forgive someone for thier mistake or harm they have done to you,i have a different priciple, i forgive people often and make them realise too, its a true joy I am enjoying, everytime I forgive someone, I could see a big change in the person. So I made it a hobby to forgive people, sure am not jesus crist doing so, just try this once. Show a happy face to your kid on her-his stupid mistake - Joy infact. Talk lovable to one who just betrayed you - not a joy but will reap joy shortly Buy a a gift to your wife when there was a unknown mistake from her and she will be too joyful and definetly a hug and kiss is guaranteed. Many more!

"To know all is to forgive all..."- A. Lincoln! This is a wonderful quote. If one tries to understand others, one can easily see the reasons why someone commited a mistake. And once, the reasons are understood, human mind tends to forgive the person... Try to understand everyone around you and it'll work like magic. I hope the nagging people, criticizing wives/parents could understand this simple phenomenon and world would become such a happy place to live. Although, there are some people whom one can't forgive even after understanding the reasons etc. And such people can bring only grief to our life. They're cheaters. They play with emotions and then when their lust, greed etc are satisfied, leave their toys deserted... Such people can't be forgiven.. At least, I can't! I forgive everyone else! No problem, you made a mistake; please be careful in future and don't do it again... Sometimes, I don't even say anything, I simply ignore it... The person understands that he/she has been forgiven. Whenever I make any mistake, I am the first one to admit it and face whatever is going to come for it. Thanks for starting this discussion! It is wonderful!

Oh yes, Lincoln was a wonderful man himself. In his private life, he knew how to handle people around him... And his statement is really wonderful.. Thank you! Have a great time!

I think there is a joy of it. It releases you from all your burdens and hatred form someone. I know that forgiving is a very hard thing to do. The best way to do it. Is to just believe that everything happens for a reason. Your the one who understands, you should be the one who will compromise.

Hi vjenterprise - there is difference between mistake and deliberate harm. Mistake is forgivable. Deliberate harm is a bit difficult to forgive. In any event, what exactly do you mean by the word forgive? Do you go about hugging the person who killed somebody dear to you? Do you invite them over to dinner?

I forgive people if what they've done is not something devastating. It makes me happy to see that smile on their faces when they know that they've been forgiven. However, there are special cases too, in which the person you forgive seems to feel even more remorse. They think that they deserve punishment, hence refusing to be forgiven. Anyway, forgiving is a kind of joy, albeit not as great as helping others.
