Evaluate yourself first before entering a relationship?

Do think it is important to evaluate yourself first before entering a relationship? Is your status in your family and the way you relate with your family members good enough that finding someone who will meet your needs is not the reason why you are entering a relationship? if you did entered a relationship with this situation, what do you think is the best thing to do?

That's how I am. Before entering a relationship I make sure I'm doing it for all the right reasons, and at the right time with the right person. I personally would value what my family thinks, and I'm lucky to have a supportive family (we have our fair share of arguments which is normal for every family, but things are generally okay at home). Their thoughts would be very much appreciated. There's no perfect partner so it's not going to be a requirement for me to find someone perfect - my family would mostly be glad for me to be with someone who's ideal and trustworthy. They have a say when it comes to choosing the right person, and I welcome it.

I think what you are doing is a very wise action. It is very important for me to examine my motives first before doing anything because that makes me very responsible of all the consequences especially when it comes to relationship. Thank you for your answer.

it is true that you need to assess and evaluate yourself first before diving into a relationship. you purpose for having a relationship must be clear and that it should be focused on knowing the other person and striving to be in good terms with him/her.

That's exactly what I intended to point out friend. That you for your simple yet nice answer. I brought out this topic because many people don't usually deal with this kind of realization in life that's why they get so troubled every time they enter any kind of relationship.

i think it is important but it is not feasible as if we do this kind of mathematics with us i think we will be in habit of doing whole life and even with the person with whom we want to go ahead. so this is really going to make any relation calculable and you can say also as commercial. and definitely this is not good for any body emotions and feelings.
