What makes you say 'no' to a suitor?

well, he must be good-looking. He must looks neat and clean and smells fresh all the time no matter what time of the day. He must always come in time, he shouldn't be late! He should not be arrogant and too confident about his self. He must be respectful and sweet.

i need to know the person first before i will say no or yes, little time with him is not enough so i still prefer a long courtship or friendship to get to know each other better so that if i say yes then im already sure about the guy. im looking for a responsible guy who will stick with me no matter what. of course must be financially stable and with comes to look im not really looking for a good looking guy though not for an ugly guy just in the middle.

Yep, see above. Behavior. If I get any hint of condescension, controlling behavior, unkindness, etc., I'm outta there!

The first thing that I look for a prospective boyfriend is...there must be spark between us. If he courts me, I will observe his character if he's a good person. I am not after physical appearance, though it would be a bonus if he's good looking and financially stable. I am not for flings, so as much as possible I make sure that I will carefully choose someone who will I have a long lasting relationship with. He must not be a gambler, and he should be a responsible man.

Behaviour is my biggest factor. If the person is a jerk, no matter how good looking, I will not be dating them or even being friends with them. However, I will not pretend to be such a big person that looks have no effect on me. Occasionally I will go out with someone because of their looks before knowing their attitude and such. More often than not though its the behaviour and personality that truly captures my heart.
