Would you blame on the consumer reports?

As consumer reports says, Toyota and Honda are both affordable and reliable vehicles in the market. We should take them as our first consideration, blah, blah, blah...... I saw this type of consumer reports comments many times, and should we blame on the consumer report too? Not really long ago, both vehicle giants, Toyota and Honda was blamed for the braking system issues and sudden acceleration problem. So, should we trust the consumer report again?
