whew.. that poem is really great it is all about attaining happiness in life.. It also has a lot of moral lessons it's one of my favorite poems. The last par is my favorite which has the lines "Therefore, be at peace with God, whatever you conceive Him to be. And whatever your labors and aspirations in the noisy confusion of life, keep peace in your soul. With all its sham, drudgery and broken dreams; it is still a beautiful world. Be cheerful." That lines trully inspired me. In our lives it is really hard to acheive our goals but God is there to help us as it is written in the book of Philippians 4:13 "I Can Do All Things Through Christ Who Strengthens Me". Max Ehrmann is really a great writer and poet I wish that I could also make a poem as good as his works. LOL.

yeah, Max really is one of a kind. he is very talented to come up with this kind of poem which touches a lot of lives. thank you for sharing your thoughts about it and for giving a verse from the bible. one of my favorite sentence there is "you are a child of the universe, no less than the trees and the stars, you have a right to be here." i find more value for my self because of this line. although each sentences gives me different lessons about life.

i remembered that was a main feature in our school paper. we were once required to make a poem review and i almost forgot it now. the title is very familiar with me but not the content anymore.

i have to admit that I have not heard of this Desiderata poem before but I just must look it up. It really means a lot to you and your father and how sweet of you to both share that together. $-MrDollars-$
