I am just blown away by this series. I just finished watching SG-1 on Hulu. All 214 episodes and the two movies that came out. Okay, it might sound like I was being a little over board with it, but I had the time to do it. I used to watch it when it was on TV, but missed a lot of the series for whatever reason came up. I was a Star Trek fan, but Star Gate SG-1 just took first place. I'm in the process of watching Star Gate-Atlantis. It's a little disappointing, but all shows in the 1st years of episodes can be and the spin-off to this has a lot to live up to. Anyone else dare to admit that the are SG-1 fans?

I liked SG-1, I know SG fans, I just so loved the movie that I really felt that while RDA could play Jack, the Daniel was all wrong - oh, he did well enough the first year or so, but when he cut his hair...

I think RDA was the best for the show. Michael Shanks was the only actor from the first movie that carried over through the whole series, is in a couple of the Stargate-Atlantis episodes and being I am watching Amanda Tapping's new series, Sanctuary, there is a Michael Shanks look alike that is palying Amanda Tapping's psychologist assist. BTW, another good show.

James Spader played Daniel in the original movie and I just so loved him, I didn't think Shanks really held a fully lite candle to him.

Elic, You're right, It was James Spader. I think that I was thinking of Children of the Gods episode.

This is one show whee I ca watch reruns of it several times. At least the shows from the early years. I didn't care for it as much after Richard Dean Anderson left but I've usually like everything he's done. Also, I've never been a big fan of Beau Bridges (not sure why) but didn't care for the show when he took over. I was slow to get into Atlantis but eventually got to like it almost as much as th original. SG-Universe, I'm still not into but Sanctuary is good. I've wondered about Amanda Tapping's accent on the show. She was born in England but moved to Canada when she was young so I don't know how she acquired the English accent. I believe that both SG and Atlantis have TV movies in production.

burrito88, I think after I have had a long break from all 214 episodes that I watched of SG-1, I will probably watch the whole thing over again. I had a hard time adjusting to Beau Bridges to, but he kind of grows on you. Don S. Davis just covered the part so well. I did see Davis in the movie "Best in Show". It was a cameo appearance. He was one of the judges in the dog show. I would think that it's not too hard to go back to an accent that you were raised around, especially for Tapping. I'm having a hard time adjusting to her with black hair and wearing heels. Not her regular issue Air Force boots...lol I finished watching the 1st season episodes off of Netflix tonight and the plot line is really shaping up. Of course the second season Netflix doesn't have yet and it will be the mail kind. I was enjoying watching it on streaming. There's another website I go to for my fan fix on SG-1 and there was an interview with Michael Shanks and he was saying that he didn't see another movie being done for SG-1. He thought that everyone was just about satisfied with how it ended and that Tapping was doing well with her series.

Don Davis almost always plays, what else, an official type. I remember him in Twin Peaks where he again played a military officer. His charcter was part of a new plot line (after Laura Palmer's murder was solved) where he was looking for the mysterious "white lodge". I was sorry to se the show cancelled before they found it. The SG movies were listed at the Intenet Movie Database (imdb.com) which pretty much catalogs every movie and TV show from the US, Canada, and England, plus some other foreign countries. The Atlantis movie (Stargate Extinction) was supposed to feature Tapping and the Atlantis crew. That was supposed to be getting made in 2009 and I don't think it's been shown yet. The SG-1 movie (Revolution) is supposed to be getting made this year and is rumored to have RDA and Tapping in it. There were no other details about who else was might be in it. Tapping, by the way, left England at the age of 3 which is why I wondered about her accent. (There's a rather sexy photo of her on imdb.com.)

Two movies? Did you say there was a second SG1 movie floating around somewhere? I love SG1, more so in the earlier seasons then towards the end where O'Neill was in Washington and Jackson seems to have gone to the Dark side. I haven't really gotten up to date with Atlantis as yet, though I have watched every SG1 and SGU episode. Ok now pretty please spill! Where is the second SG1 movie? What is it called and if you found it on hulu can you link me?

Hi, There was the original pilot movie to SG-1 and then there was another one that had to do with the Ori. Here's a link that explains the movies http://www.stargate-sg1-solutions.com/wiki/SG-1_Movies and the following link http://www.gateworld.net/news/2009/05/stargate-recommended-viewing-order/ is from the fan site that explains the best way to watch all the series in order that coincides with the movies. I didn't watch the way that the site recommended, but it was still a cool site.
