What does it mean to say when someone tells you, "You look just like my girl/boyfriend?" So far as I know it does mean that someone like you.

It's a compliment. It's just like saying, i like you but unfortunately i'm already taken.

i guess this is the most precise explanation to this. though how much the other party likes you, being similar to her sweetheart, it will just remain a compliment. but sorry, i am already taken. better luck next time.

the meaning of the sentence "you look just like my girl/boyfirend", i think, depends on the situation of the meoment when someone is saying that. sometime, someone likes you, and want to make a relationship with you, he says "you look like my girlfriend", while in another case, you really looks like his girlfriend, he just want to make you happy or make feel that you are very close to him.

it depends on situation and person actually.,.,.,. it may reflect that person is liking you,.,.. it may reflect that he/she is giving a kind of signal to take situation further forward or it may reflect that you are really like his partner either in physical looks or behaviour,.,.,. you can easily judge what kind of person he/she is.right?

For me, it doesn't mean that someone like you. Someone can say that because your physic just look like his girl/boyfriend or you just act like his girlfriend or you have the same quality/default like her, ect... There are many simple reasons why he said that, it not always mean that he likes you.
