I was reading a book on positive thinking and this was one of the questions. Success to me isn't as much about money as it is about being the kind of person that I want to be. Many people seem to think that you are only successful if you make alot of money. What do you think? Is money the only measure of success?

hi tallygirl- i think you hit the nail right on the head. every one wants to be that nurse out there or the highest ranking in there jobs . sometimes i think not even because it is really even what makes them happy but it looks important in other peoples eyes and there for makes them feel king. so what if it takes them from thier children all hours of the night or you cant be there for that school play or your father in the nursing home needed you right before he passed away.some need that money and status before all other things just because that is what they think looks good in others eyes. i have a little more then 3 years of college behind me some in nursing and some in business. when my triplets came along i new i was blessed and this is what god gave me as a gift .i droped every thing and put them first now with raising triplets i new that money was still needed so i worked my hours around my husband and started my own cleaning business and made a very good income. you know all money looks the same as long as it is legal.my boys are now in first grad i have my own wedding business and cleaning busness. i pay for thier christian school and i have never missed any of thier events. you should see how some people look at me when i tell them i clean for a living .they look at me like shes just a cleaning lady. i never tell them i have college behind me i just like to see how they react it really lets me know what kind of person they are. my true measure of sucess is how much time you give to your loved ones, your friends and your community. forget the status and the money.
