Pregnant - Having morning sickness during pregnancy.

I am 15 weeks pregnant and every day I am having morning sickness. My doctor is already asking me why am i losing weight instead of gaining weight. I am so worried and I do not know why is this happening to me... I am trying my best to eat many healthy foods but I always end up vomiting all that foods that I've eaten. So I am calling all the mother's out there to give me an advice how to lessen or what food I need to eat or anything that may help my situation. God bless

Hello Sophia, please don't take my comment as to worry you as it is not my intention but when I was pregnant I was violantly ill throughout from the 2nd week of pregnancy I was throwing up about 6-12 times a day and couldn't keep any fluids or food down and I lost lots of weight, I also became very dizzy and couldn't go to work, in the end they found out I had, had a water infection throughout and once they cured it, it was too late and I gave birth to my daughter 15 weeks early and sadly she only lasted 3 weeks when she developed Necrotizing Entrocolitis (can't spell it) and she passed away. I was devastated! but as it was my 1st pregnancy when the doctors were telling me it was just severe morning sickness I just accepted it, mabye if you are violantly ill you should demand more tests, make sure they are tested via the lab and not dip tested as this is how it was not found in my prenancy, I would hate for any other mother to be to go through what I did when it could of been prevented!

Believe me, I feel for you. I'm 7 months pregnant and I'm still having morning sickness (mostly it happens at night now though). It was so bad for me during my first trimester that my doctor ended up putting me on nausea medicine. It made me feel worse so I stopped taking it, but it may be an option for you. I'll be honest also, I know you need to eat healthy and all, but I ate what I could keep down, even if it was a bowl of chocolate pudding or ice cream. The important thing for you is to eat what you can so you'll have your strength and the baby will get what it needs. I've only gained 14 pounds (maybe a little more by now) but my doctor says everything is ok because my son is healthy and growing right on track and I have the pregnant tummy to prove it. :) Don't worry yourself about weight right now, okay? Oh, you can always try ginger. Ginger is supposed to be great for morning sickness. I never tried it, but I know it helped a lot of other pregnant women. You can find ginger suckers or candy at Babies R Us and most grocery stores. Babies R Us also have these things called Preggie Pops. I had them and they helped some. Sour stuff helps honestly. I love sour stuff, so that wasn't a problem for me, but you might not like it. I hope this helps some. Please feel free to message me if you have any questions. :)
