Habits are started by voluntary actions. Hence, you do it without knowing. It's a good thing that you have recognized your habit and one of the fundamental ways is prevention. Stop thinking what is negative, whenever there is a negative there should be an initiative. Everything starts in the mind and your mind is a powerful source of actions. Every action starts within in you and it is in you who can stop those. :D Shalom...

i don't know how to come up with a good initiative ... i'm afraid that maybe in every decision or action i make i might end up making things worse ... it's not really that easy for me to start something ... my mind is so filled up with all the negatives , the pressures... everything!! ... ... ...

It is indeed not easy for you to start something. Because as I see in your statement, the idea of starting is backed up with negativity, that you can't do it. Kiel, take time to let all positive thoughts in your mind and heart. Let these be recognized. For sure, good things will follow. Just let it in.

Kiel, First we have to try and help you stay positive. I have a idea and I really want you to try this okay? A favor for me and you know I am your friend and we have talked about a lot of stuff and I am going to keep private. I want you to get a journal or a notebook to write in and everyday I want you to write in three good things that happened to you on that day. Nothing negative. It can be anything from I heard a funny joke, I am healthy, I saw a good movie, etc. Anything positive it will help you slowly start thinking positive. I know you are a talented artist I saw you drawing on your profile page. Do you know you can have a great career in that? You can go into computer graphics or animation you have a gift. I also agree that you get some counseling and if they want to give you meds it is okay. It is only to help you from wanting to cut yourself. There is nothing wrong with getting medicine to feel better about yourself. Then in time you will get better and go on to have a great life. It is not going to be easy but you can do it. You have to believe in yourself you know I believe in you very much. You can beat this and as I always tell you. You are not alone.

Well that doesn't seem like a good thing to do whether your depressed or not. Why would you do something like that. You know we all go through rough times, but if God brought you to it, he will bring you through it. Hurting yourself, because things isn't going right in your life is not helping the problem. And yes I guess the people around you are alarmed. You need to go talk to a doctor and get some medicine to help treat your depression. Or to someone that can find out why you are depressed and help you out of it. Please don't do this as it is dangerous, and you could lose your life. Life is too good to lose over somethings that probably don't really matter any way.

It is determination and that too a firm one which result in the eradication of a bad habit. You really have to have firmness of decision.

Friend, if you cannot stop that by yourself, maybe you need a therapist. Only professionals can advise you on your problems. Maybe you even need some medications to ease yourself when you are deppressed. good luck on your quest for change,
