The human body is meant to work so, that the meal would digest faster. If you eat something highly energetic then you will lose your sleepiness though...

I think that I'll get sleepy when I eat. Especially, when I'm at work I feel sleepy after having our mealbreak.

I feel sleepy after taking meals too. I love that feeling, it feels so good to sleep especially after lunch. I want to take a nap even if my stomach is full.

I feel the same if eat to much, so I usually don't eat to much in every meal. I eat before full so I don't feel sleepy after meal, eating outside the office by walk might help because we have to walk for a few minute. I am not dare after taking my dinner jump to bed and sleep, that enemy for my belly, I have to wait 2 hour after meal before go to bed

Hi its common to feel drowsy after food intake. When we take food blood circulation is increased to our digestive system to ensure proper digestion. This reduces the blood supply to our brain. and this is the reason for feeling laziness or drowsiness after we take lunch or dinner.

It's normal to feel a bit sleepy after eating a full meal, but I don't eat large amounts of food during the day. Sometimes it is better to have a light lunch so you can avoid feeling tired later

When i was at your age, i do feel sleepy when i don't have anything to do. After lunch, i will have a nap. As for dinner, i will spend some time listen to music and sleep. But not now, after having my lunch and dinner, i don't feel sleepy anymore because there seems plenty of things to do around the house. So, i think if you spend your time into doing something that interest you, you won't feel sleepy anymore.

I just feel that the body responds to comfort in a more relaxed manner. When you are hungry, your body is agitated and you just feel restless. So on eating, we feel more comfortable and we tend to start relaxing, which may make us feel sleepy at times. Then again, a heavy meal does induce sleep or make you feel drowsy.

You are just young - as I have gone through your profile. Normally this problem occurs only to elderly people - I am fifty plus and observing this problem. But I do not sleep in the after noon - and if I sleep in night I will have to wake up to 1.00 p.m. which make's up by 9.00 am in the morning.Hence when I feel sleepy I engage myself on some work.

I think its not good to go to bed right after taking your meal especially if its heavy meal. Their was an instance where I took a nap in the afternoon a few minutes after I took my lunch and I almost couldn't breath or move myself, so from their I learned to limit my food intake and do not go to bed right away after taking my meals.
