how one can earn 170 crores per year using 18 players?

hi friends.
[b]as you have known that pune was bought for 1702 crores for a period of 10 years by the sahara group.
thats a hell lot of money.
i have no business mind so i have no idea how they are gonna earn a minimum of 170 crores per year with a bunch of players and from a tournament which happens once a year?
besides,considering the number of bomb blasts ,poor security measures and some stupid political rows,you are not even sure that you will get IPL in india every year and if moved to another country,you will lose half of the profit.
if people's intrest in this shorter format reduces in lets say another 3 years,what will they do then?
i have no idea .
can anyone clear me? [/b]

This is what most of the people questioning after hearing such an huge amount spent for a team over 3 years!

@stardustcdsd-Firstly,You do have a bussiness mind.lolzz.....Secondly they are spending so much because in India cricket is a religion....On the counter part I myself agree with ur point of people loosing interest in the game...But these guys wont let tht happn till a few years for sure coz they 'll introduce more teams,concepts n all to keep the spectators bound to their seats.
