So when you start to lose weight your hear the words "Drink more water" As for the reasons I've been told it was for hydration during workouts. Well I learned yesterday there is more to it than that. It's about being overall healthy. News flash: In order for your kidneys to function at high efficiency, we should drink 8 glasses of water each day. If we don't do this than the liver will try to help the kidneys. If the liver is helping the kidneys, it cannot fully do it's job which is to metabolize fat. So, drinking water can actually help weight loss. I don't know about you, but is has put things into perspective for me. What are your thoughts? Do you have any tips you'd like to share?

Well, mour brain has difficulty in distinguishing the feeling between hunger and thirst. So if you are actively trying to lose weight you should be drinking more water when you are feeling hungry, because if it's not a meal time, it just probably means you are thirsty. Drinking water is also a great way to stave of those weight loss hunger cravings, and if you get tired of drinking plain old water, you can add sliced lemon, mint, or cucumber to the water to get a different taste.

You are right, that's a great idea! Also, if you ever crave sweets in between or after a meal grab a piece of extra gum. It's low calorie and helps curve that craving we all have. I always have to grab a piece after a meal. It just helps keep me from wanting a dessert. Thanks for the tip!

That is a great question. I never thought about it. My thoughts would be when not to drink it, but maybe how much to drink at one time. I think if you drink in moderation you won't get that tummy bloat. I would try just drinking it all day and sipping. Hope this helps.

Start your day with a glass of water. As soon as you wake up, gulp down a glass of cool water. It’s a wonderful way to start you day and you only need a lesser quantity of your breakfast drink after that. A glass of water lets out all your digestive juices and sort of lubricates the insides of your body. You may have your morning cup of tea but have it after a glass of water. It is good for you.

I have heard it helps fight off hunger, but not sure if it has actually helped me there. I usually chew a piece of gum instead. Thanks for the comment!
