When using lotion I tend to sweat more. It only started in the last couple of years. Before that I could use it and it wouldn't bother me at all. I love to use scented lotions after a bath and follow up with body spray that matches. Now my skin is more dry and I can only use the body spray. It don't matter if it summer or winter the lotion makes me sweat year round. Does this happen to you? If so do you have any sugestions that will help other than not using it? All advice will help if you have any. Would love to know if I'm the only one that this happens to.

You are not alone and I sweat too. I have no real advice except to dry off well after the bath /shower and stay cool! I don't know how old you are but wonder if it couldn't be hormone related as I have hot flashes/nigh sweats and lotions seem to make it worse. I use aveeno products for boh bath and lotion. This seems to help some. Other than that if you any other good suggestons do let me know. quita

The same thing happens to me. Any lotion, any temperature. I still sweat upon applying the lotion. I have hyperhidrosis, so I've always credited it to that. As crazy as it sounds, wearing socks when I apply lotion to my body prevents me from sweating most of the time. Again, it could have to do with the hyperhidrosis. But you're not alone!!

There are some lotions that make me sweat more. It actually depends on the location where I am at. If the place is not the cold my regular lotion which is nivea makes me sweat more but if i used the avon lotion its not. But if I am in a fully airconditioned place nivea is a good lotion for me. So it depends on the place where I am at and maybe lotion nivea is not ok if you are always outdoor activity.
