Serie A: can Milan still fight for the Scudetto?

What is happening to Milan? It isn't able to score a goal anymore! Yesterday, Milan lost miserably against Parma at the end of a very bad game played slowly and with no attacking ideas, while Inter and Roma won respectively 3-0 and 2-0. At the moment, Inter has 4 points more than the two other 2 teams. Of course after next sunday and the big match between Inter and Roma, everything may change again and these 4 points may become again 1, but to me it seems that Milan is in a declining period, while Roma is growing stronger since 20 matches and becomes each time more convinced of its strenght: it has its top players back, like Vucinic, Toni, de Rossi and very soon, also Totti and seems able top fight for the scudetto with Inter untill the end. Milan no. Am I wrong about that? Do you think that without Pato and Beckham, and problems in finding good defenders it can still find alternatives to start scoring again and avoid taking stupid goals?

Hi Nemonezonicamidecus,
Even though AC Milan chances to get the scudetto this season still alive but I do not think they would be able to do so. Their performance this season is not consistence. They play badly at the early season but improve a lot before the summer break and continue it after that. But on this month their graph drop again. Out of possible 12 points they only manage to collected 5 points. They we lucky to have only 4 points separated with the leader, Inter Milan due to Inter Milan shifted concentrations. But AS Roma already pass them to be in the second place.
I think AC Milan depend too much on their evergreen players like Andrea Pirlo, Gattuso, Nesta, Zambrotta, Seedorf and Inzaghi. This players can not play all season because of their ages. They can not play week in week out and if they were force to play their performance would dropped. And I believe they can not last until the end of the season.
In order to give a real challenge for the scudetto, AC Milan need a young player who can play all days and can last until final whistle in the last game of the season. They need a complete overhaul.

Everything is possible, but I don't think it will happen! In my opinion this season Inter will win the Scudetto. They had 4 points advance at the top and are at very good form. After the Valeri Bojinov's goal for Parma at the 90-th minute, Milan lost their chance for the first place.
