I've noticed that some of my friends have got out of the Catholic faith. They transferred to other Christian religions such as Born - Again. I don't have anything against other religions. Does religion matter? Is there a difference on the teachings among these Christian religions?

Greetings, I notice your interesting question, why do Christians transfer from one religion to another? so my hope is to shed some light first on your question. If you are referring to Christians who have been involved with a certain denomination and then desides for some reason to be apart of a different denomination. It can be for number of reasons. However, it can be because of some teachings that can move someone to go elsewhere if he or she is not being satified spiritually. Now, this is the way I now veiw the word religion. Referring to different denominational. But as for your statement, you mentioned that some of your friends have left the Cathlic faith and had tranfered to other Christian religions such as Born-Again. Well, I hope I can help you in this area that concerns you. However, about your Cathlic faith, I'm unable to comment because I don't know too much about Cathlic faith. So this is something I will leave for someone who does. But what I do know from personal experience and biblical aspect, Born Again is not a religion, it is an experience that every person who accepts Jesus Christ as their personal savior. This happens when one repents and believes on the Lord Jesus Christ that he or she is saved by the blood of Jesus. According to scripture in John 3:3 this Born Again experience, is our spiritual birth that must take place in order for us to inter the kingdom of God. So this is the reason why,Born Again, is not a religion. This happens to everyone who becomes a Christian. They experience a spiritual rebirth to reconcile back to God. I encourage you to read John 3:3 and others that are related to it. So since being being Born Again is not a religion, then I will also mention that a Christian is not a religion as well. Christians who are truly born again, they now have a relationship not a religion with Jesus Christ and our heavenly Father, God. I know that society like to claim that Christianity is a religion. But if one reads and study a little deeper into God's word, it is obvious that Jesus didn't come to start a religion, He came to reconcile us back to our creator because of sin that had separated us from God in the first place. So to answer your next question, does religion matter? Not when it comes to a personal relationship with God. Now, about teachings, I think your question should of been, is there a difference on the teachings among these denominations or Churches? Sadly to say, yes there is, but I don't really know about other teachings other than what the Bible teaches. When I taught children of all ages, I only taught what was in God's word. If any teachings that you or your friends are hearing and it doesn't line up with the word of God, it is false teachings and it should not be taken lightly or overlooked. But of course, the Bible speaks about false teachings, but that's a whole different subject or discussion. So I hope I have helped in giving you some insight into the truth. May God bless you.

Hi Codiane, You have answered very briefly and concise. You got the main point of Christianity and Born Again. I definitely agree with you. Hi Hunterkm, As for your comment that here in the Philippines, Born Again is a religion, well I beg to disagree. Not all Filipinos have the same thinking as yours. It depends on ones conviction and faith. Most often than not, that's how catholics look into it, that Born Again is a religion. But for those people who are really born again, they treat it differently and that's in accordance with what the Bible says. Another good example is that, some people don't even consider Catholic faith as Christian. For if we are going o take a closer look into the meaning of Christian then it would be "followers of Christ". God commanded that we should not worship any idols or images. In this aspect, Catholics is already not following the major commandment of God. So it's up to your faith.

Religion doesn't matter. But the teachings does matter. I was before a devoted catholic and I left that religion because all their teachings are contradict with the teachings of the Bible (the Word of God).

hi hunterkim, I think some people transfer from one religion to another because they cannot feel any satisfaction to the religion where they belong. Sometimes, no matter how hard we do our religious works, it happened that it seems it doesn't take any effect to us. Another reason is that by means of influence of other people. Especially if that person has this "convincing power" , he can attract many people. That is just my opinion.

There's no difference between all religions for a fact we only have one God after all. But certain things make a religion complicated is they have the same belief and traditions that maybe inspired others to transfer a religion for their charm or whatever. I don't really believed in it because for a fact that God made me and I am responsible how i should live my life.

The other people transferred to other religions, why? because they got a correct answer from there questions, and if the know the truth it will set you free, there is a big different on the teaching, example your religion doesn't use the bible and other religion use bible and follow the bible principle.Religion is important coz God have a chosen people and not all religion are approved by God there is only one religion that he approve, for us to find out what is this true religion, we need to search.

So many mysteries surround Catholic religion, none can grasp. They think that this alone would turn into awe, and turn people to Catholic faith. Catholic religion no longer counsel contemplation and endurance, it does not shape commonsense and awakens their belief. They offer us a kind of religion in which its followers have few things to hope for but many things to fear. One among them is the fear of Hell. They have turned the religion to an object of ridicule. No wonders the followers of Roman Catholic religion are now seeking religion, which would shape their lives by faith alone. I do not know ‘Born again’ religion can do that; but only the religion, which will allow Christ to rise above the crystal symbol of faith, would be successful in the end.
