I usually order marzipan eggs (I just love them) specially made on easter from one of our parishioners. This year I wanna try making it. So is there anyone who can share me their recipe. Most of the people i know, don't share their recipe at all. They like to keep that a secret , I dunno why though.

Marzipan is a mixture of 1 part almond meal and one part confectioner's sugar. If you have a food processor this isn't hard: throw a pound of unsalted roasted almonds in and grind them into a cornmeal-like consistency. Add the sugar and continue to process until you have a floury-looking product--this will mix the two. Dump this into a saucepan, add 2 teaspoons orange extract and mix it together into a putty, then cook it until it leaves the side of the pan. (When this happens, you'll know.) Set it on a heatproof surface until the marzipan's cool enough to touch, then take globs of it in hand and roll them into egg shapes. Then let them sit on wax paper for a few hours to dry. Now...if you DON'T have a food processor they sell marzipan mix, and you can use that instead because almond meal is a do-it-yourself project and you can't "do it" with a knife. Your slap chop won't work either; Vince, we love your nuts but they're not fine enough, sorry.

This is what I needed. Many Thanks jmowreaders, no doubt i was a lil late in responding. To be honest with you, I didn't try this recipe, i just ordered them. I was too lazy to make it. But someday I am definitely gonna make it and I will let you know how it came out. Thanks anyways.
