How is Spring Break affecting your job?

Some people get a vacation during Spring Break; other people are stuck working through it. I work at a veterinary clinic with a large boarding area. Over the weekend we were nearly full with boarding dogs while their families were going out of town. We are generally busy throughout the day, but Spring Break has the ability to take that to another level. In short, Spring Break is a good time for our business. What about you?

I am completely overwhelmed at work, and our company doesn't encourage overtime at all. I have only been there a short while, and the day before the office manager left, I was taught to do parts of her job. And only very briefly. It's not really hard, it just takes some concentration. Plus, it takes time to get used to anything new. And doing it when you are swamped with work doesn't make things easy. She'll be out all of next week, so hopefully by the time she gets back, I will have it down pat and it will not see so overwhelming the next time. I am glad to hear that your business is doing well. It just goes to show that the economy isn't as bad as the media would like for us to believe. I know people who complain about money all the time, but they are on vacation. 8) So, evidently, they aren't as bad off as they have left them selves to believe. LOL The holiday, and Spring Break hasn't really effected our business much. If anything, it might slow down a little, but I don't think so. Take care, and have a great day!

They should not have waited until last minute to teach you parts of somebody's job. They should be working towards training you to handle that as you are improving and allowing you to progress. I am glad that they have given you the opportunity to learn this stuff, though. That means that they trust you enough to share this information.

Spring break doesn't affect my job, nor my work load. I might spend a little more money for my sister to go on a vacation, if she really strain in finance. Oh my gosh, any fun vacation meant that I have to spend a little bit more money. And less on my savings.

Hello Valenas, My daughter who is in college will be home over Spring break this Easter weekend. She works a local grocery store and this is a big season almost like Christmas where people want food and snacks for the company they are having. Local store are suually opn on Holidays like 12:00 noon to 4:00pm or something similar. It is hard on here but she value of the money and appreciate when she does have time to herself too.
