I am having a problem with a tenaunt. They where arrested for drugs, in Janurary and have not paid the rent. He is due in court soon, and trying to find out what my options are. I am new to being a Landlord.

Move on, find another tenant and check for their background. Forget the rent they did not pay as they have cases to settle in court. I hope you find good tenants next time.

I would of called the police or call your city hall and ask what you can do about this. Clearly you do not need a problem tenant as you risk problems with your property and loosing other tenants. This is 2yrs old posting so I am hoping things were resolved with a good outcome.

I would check with the local law enforcement and see if they can assist. Otherwise I thing you have to go the old fashioned way. Give them written notice, and then have them served with eviction papers.
