How do you usually shop for goods, like books, clothes, cosmetics, food or household appliances? What kind of goods do you prefer to shop online? Have you ever bought anything from online stores abroad? And your favorite online shopping sites? Please share your experience.

I seldom shop online as i prefer to see the good before i shop. So, i tends to shop through any stores, so i can touch and see them directly. I only go shopping online for books and some casual wear clothes. As for other goods, i prefer to shop in shopping malls or stores. So, my preference would be, to shop through the normal stores for my daily and household goods.

As for shoes and other formal wear clothes or dress, i prefer to try them on first, before i buy them. I mean, i usually buy T-shirt through online stores. Because T-shirt is free size and wider than my size. So, am sure able to wear them. Is it really cheaper to shop electronic products through online? I haven't try it out yet. Thanks for sharing....

Yes, it's cheaper in a general way, but you must be very careful, or you may buy fake ones. You should choose safe and trusted online stores.

It really depends on what you want to buy. For daily stuff or household things, I think in-store shopping is more preferable but when it comes to clothes and cosmetics, since I know some online sites which have better deals and more choices, I like online ones a lot more. As its time for getting new season's stuff, I bought huge amount of clothes, bags and shoes from a China site and its way cheaper than what I can get in local stores (and style suits me better). Even though I have to pay for the postage and wait for normally over a week, I still like the idea of online shopping.

Thank you for sharing. Yes, it depends. I usually buy daily stuff in the supermarket. However, when there's a sale, particularly in the holidays, it's cheaper than do online.

I do most of my shopping in stores. Especially for things like clothes, since I usually have to try them on to make sure they fit. Books and music and movies I sometimes buy online if I find a good price and really want them. It's especially good for pre-ordering items.

Hi friend, I normally prefer buying by personal visits to stores. When you personally visit store, you get chance to see, touch and feel the item you are buying, this is not possible in online buying, I prefer ticket booking, hotel booking utility bill payments etc through online. Happy myLotting

Thank you. I didn't buy anything online until last year. Now I find it cheaper and more convenient to do some online shopping, like what you mentioned, ticket booking and so on.

I love to browse the things on the internet and usually purchase things online also. There is a website in india www.homeshop18.com it is the best shopping website and delivers free anywhere in India. Even their prices are very good and I really love to check out thieir offers. I have never bought anything from online stores abroad but yes check it out very often incase someone is going abroad so that I can ask them to pick it up for me. The website that I usually check is walmart in US.

Well, I enjoy checking out the pictures on shopping sites. :) And it's a good idea to ask your friends to pick something up for you when they go abroad. Thank you!

Initially, I got the same concern as you about the security issue. But it seems OK to shop online at secure websites. And sometimes it's really cheaper and more convinient. Thank you!

Hi Depseratehousewife Actually I prefer shopping in store rather than online although I do shop online it just not the same as going to the store and being able to see ,feel , touch or try on the product . Online shopping is more convenient especially during the Christmas Season but I do like shopping in store during the holidays rather than online as well. I like being out and looking at all the decorations at the mall and local stores. Some people don't like to shop on line because they feel that online websites aren't secure enough for them to be comfortable with giving out their banking information or credit card info online I used to feel that way to but so far so good I haven't had any problems with online shopping although I don't do it very often I still only go to secure websites that have that secure logo on them.
