I am so sick of RAIN!

Flooding - Flooded street
United States

Here in Connecticut we have seen over 10 inches of rain in 2 days in some parts of the state. In southern Connecticut, they have seen the most flooding and damage. I live in Northern Ct, and on top of a hill so most yards have a bunch of big puddles in their yards but nothing too serious. I am so sick of this rain and so are my children. There are a few states that have thousands of dollars in damage. I just hope the many families effected by this recover fast. Have you seen all this rain that new england has gotten?

sorry to hear that but unfortunately we dont have rain here and its actually bad coz our farmers suffer for summer due to it will dry the crops. and its very hot here already with no rain at all. anyway, i guess both will not going to stay for the whole year. maybe just for few months so lets just wait for it then. what matter is we are safe.

That has to be hard to not have rain. I like rain during the summer but not 2-3 days straight with the result of flooding. That is what matters. As long as my family is safe, I could deal pretty good. I'd rather loose my house then my family and loved ones.

That's quite a flood there but that's nothing compared to what happened here in the philippines. the typhoon 'ondoy' as we call it, did a whole lotta damage, destroyed many families, and the flood it did on certain parts almost went like 8 meters high, i'm not sure. but it was almost as high as a 2 storey residencial.

That is quite high. Alot of our rivers are almost 10 feet above flood stage. It has washed out roads, ruined house and even created a mudslide. This isnt the worst flood that Connecicut has seen. I would have to say the 1955 flood was. I only know that by pictures though. It ruined most of Ct.

I live in PA and we've had a little bit of flooding...but I was mostly just annoyed by the fact that it rained for 3 days straight. I work for a recreation facility, and I umpire softball. I had to umpire softball out in the rain for 4 hours on Sunday night. It was quite horrible. Minimum wage is definitely not good enough to cover standing in the cold rain for 4 hours haha.

That's good to hear that you havent had much flooding. I am pretty annoyed myself as my kids are dying to play outside but I cant afford them getting sick. That stinks yeah I wouldnt be too happy about umpiring out in the cold rain myself. I hope you dont get sick from that.
