Guys and Jewelry

Up until now, I still believe that guys don't just give jewelry to just anyone. I have a lot of guy friends and I never received a single jewelry from them. But when my boyfriend was courting me, he gave me a bracelet. When he did become my boyfriend, he gave me a silver ring to wear all the time on our first month together. Ladies: Do you think there is a meaning, special or not, to a guy giving you a necklace, bracelet, or ring? And of course, the meaning could change if you and a guy are in a relationship or not. Gentlemen: I read somewhere that men give jewelry to women because they adore them. Is that true? Does each kind of jewelry, or adornments in the jewelry, signify a certain level of adoration?

Personally the only jewelry I ever recieved from a man was from my now husband. First he gave me his class ring, then a matching necklace and bracelet for christmas, followed on easter with an engagement ring. Since then when he sees something he would like me to wear, he purchases it for me, always with a reason too, the blue in that stone matches your eyes, or the sparkle of this bracelet reminded me of your smile, the jingle of these earrings remind me of when you laugh... always something sweet and memorable, I can go through my jewelry a remember exactly what he said made him purchases it. The boyfriends I had before him never had the loving giving of gifts that he showed me. They never gave me jewelry before him, but with my husband he had a reason for every gift he has ever given me that made me realize he truly adores, care and pays true attention to me.

Aww. Your husband is too sweet AmAllen! I am very happy to hear about this and I did enjoy reading about your experience. You must be very happy and blessed with him. His gift giving with matching reasons for the said gift just shows how much he adores and loves you! I think you would enjoy relating such stories to your children when they are old enough in the future! I pray you and your husband have a long, enjoyable and fruitful marriage!

He is a sweet man, and sometimes I will take it for granted, but then... I'm reminded that he is the greatest and I couldn't ask for better for myself and our children. I have already shared with my 8 year old daughter on occasion sweet treasures that her daddy has given me... She is already appreciative. But it is also teaching her that a man needs to hav e the devotion to her the way her daddy does me to earn her heart.

I have also have guy friends. however my guy friends give m jewelry for my birthday and christmas . The also give me jewelry is they see me admiring in the store or if they hink that it is somrthing i would like. My boyfriend gives me jewelry to show how much he care about me . I don't think guys give girls jewelry so much to earn her effectionbut to show his own.

Wow. You must be happy to have received such gifts from your guy friends. You must really be close to their heart if they would buy you something you seem to like in a store. I had some guy friends too but they never treated me that way. lol. oh well. But going back, you've got a point there. I guess, guys do buy jewelry, or any gift, to show his affection to the girl.

Well i always believe that guy gives a ring or jewel to a gal who are in relationships to show out the love for her. Well tats true to..but it depends on each person adoring her wife at their own imagination as i do. I gift her a golden pendent to show she is a queen of my heart!

Well, that's sweet of you! Your wife must be happy since you adore her so. One day, I hope to receive a necklace from my boyfriend. It doesn't really have to be expensive. It just has to come from him... and has to look good on me though! haha. :D Thanks for sharing!

I love jewelries but I love them more when it was given by a guy. jewelry is a percious thing that not all can afford to but thats why I appreciate it so much when somebody gives it to me. I feel so special being given by such precious things. I give away jewelries too. My own sentimemntal value for doing it means a person is so special and being loved by me.

Thanks for sharing! Hmm. The person you give jewelry to must be happy! After all, you only give it as a show of love. It is certainly sweet when a guy gives you jewelry doesn't it? And I believe a jewelry given by a guy would have a deeper meaning for you because of your beliefs. And yes. One of my most treasured jewelry comes from one of my closest friend. She gave me a silver bracelet with a stone in it for my 18th birthday. I love sparkling things so when the stone sparkles, it makes me happy.

That is a nice story. I didn't your sister was materialistic at all. Maybe to her, it was a sign. Because no one knew of her desire that whoever would offer her a gold ring, that's the one she would choose. I believe that the gold ring was a way for her to choose the guy she wants. I want to believe that there is a Master Planner, a God. He must have brought those two together. :D Thanks!
