Kyo Kara Maoh anyone?

I've been revisiting all these older anime series lately since a lot of the newer shows don't appeal to me. And after a bit of looking I've found Kyo Kara Maoh again. I watched this series a while back and never got a chance to complete it for some reason. But now I find myself enjoying this again. The story of KKM is about a a 'wimpy' boy named Yuri who's a baseball fanatic. He was being a nice guy by trying to save a friend from being bullied but ends up as the victim instead. So, he gets a swirly for his trouble and ends up getting sucked into the toilet and landing in another world. There he is proclaimed as the new 'maoh' or demon king because of his black hair, eyes, and clothing (Japanese school uniform is black). And that's when the adventure begins. I just find this series to be hilarious. All the antics and chaos that goes on cracks me up. I mean, who's ever heard of proposing to someone by slapping them. Talk about some strange customs and traditions. I'd really recommend this series for anyone looking for a comedic, action, adventure type of series. There might be hints of shounan-ai themes (just a warning for anyone who isn't into that) but I think it's more for the comedy factor than anything else.

Oh, I liked this anime! I don't think Yuuri would ever be considered wimpy (well, except by Wolfram's standards, of course ;D) but I love the humor and how awesome the women were. And also how much parody of the Magical Girl anime it has, haha! Too bad it has so many episodes. 39 episodes in one season! Man. I might like this better if I had more time on my disposal, but it was a pretty engaging and entertaining anime, regardless. Even if I could only watch the first season, haha!
