so me and my mom went out for lunch today and our journey took us up to Arby's, which now along with the Mcdonald's, Burger King, Wendy's and maybe Taco Bell and Kentucky Fried Chicken had a 1.00 menu. they had a junior chicken sandwich and a junior roast beef sandwich and a milkshake and their curly fries and a few more items all for a dollar. I had both the chicken sandwich and the junior roast beef both were very good, but for what you get I'd say the chicken sandwich was the better value of the two items. Which chain do you think has both the best variety and the best items available on their 1.00 menu?

Hmm this is an interesting question. Not something that I ever really thought about. I think that each of the fast food restaurants dollar menus have different good qualities about them. For example I think Burger King has one of the biggest dollar menus out there. As far as quality goes though, I prefer Wendys. Wendys "dollar menu" has many items that are 15-25 cents more than a dollar but I think you're paying for the quality and it's worth it. McDonalds I would say has one of the crappiest dollar menus. I just feel like when I'm eating there that I'm not eating high quality food at all!

I just noticed arby's 1.00 menu the other day so it has not been around for very long amount of time, but they have a nice selection of items that I like on it you can get curly fries or a milkshake kinda wonder what size a 1.00 shake would be. you can get the junior chicken sandwich which I like the best of the menu and a junior roast beef which is pretty small, but still ok for one dollar.

Wendy's and Arby's have the best value menus and are both pretty good on variety. Their food is reasonably priced and pretty good. But where do I go? McDonald's. Because it's faster...I mean closer to my house.

yeah convenience also plays a part in our decision too as far as how much of a distance we have to go to get the food as the price of gas doesn't seem to be getting any less and where we live the arby's is furthest away of the main ones and the KFC is almost 15 mins from my parents house all the way out at the mall.

McDonalds is starting to get to the point where the value menu actually have things that are worth getting that isn't just a meh regular burger. Their sweet tea is godly... and I'm not sure why t is, it just is!

yeah the only thing I really like on their dollar menu is the mcchicken sandwich and that is a little bit spicy to me at times. My mom really liked to get the 1.00 sweet tea and that is a really large size for only a dollar so she liked the value there.
