Have you ever quitted your job on personal ego fight?

I am recently went through this hard time.Everything was going fine past 3 years but this time i cannot resist it.Simply when it comes to your ego I don't think anything satisfies.Well it was a little bit awkward somedays back but I have overcome from it.It is obvious that Life never stops, it goes on and on.

I put in my notice at work just recently. There was a big fight in the office where my personality was being "constructively criticized" by the boss in front of another employee. To make things worse, I was told the next day that everything said wasn't to be taken personally.

I have not once but twice and after putting in my resignation letter I asked to reconsider I said yes but on one condition provided the person says sorry. It was that person person and he was Head of HR. He said he was sorry he did not understand the situation that I was in and then I stayed back and we went to become good friends. Funny isn't it?
