I have a friend who was diagnosed of Hepatitis B. She told me that she could no longer work abroad because of this sickness. Is this sickness incurable? Please enlighten me about this. I'm really worried about her. How can she pay her medication when employers would not accept her to work. She is sick and jobless. Please advice me about this, I would really want to help her. She has kids but her husband doesn't support the family. They are already separated.

You'll have to find out more about her situation to really find out how long this is going to be an issue for her. Hepatitis B is definitely curable but my resources say that sometimes Hepatitis B can take longer than a year to treat depending on how severe the infection is and how well the patient responds to treatment. Most really shouldn't take that long - again you'll have to check with her to find out what her doctors say! I hope she does well!!!

Oh, and I just found that 90% of people treated for Hepatitis B are recovered by the end of 6 months! Good News!

Thanks for your time! Her doctor said that she has to go through some expensive blood tests to find out the extent of the infection. I hope it's not chronic...Thanks for the sound advice.

Here's a website I just found. It mentions that after 6 months of having hepatitis it is then 'chronic hepatitis' and can potentially last for a lifetime. http://www.hepb.org/patients/living_with_hepatitis_b.htm I hope it works because I'm too much of a noob to paste :)

Hi! Hepatitis B is a common diseases, even if she had this she can work abroad. Acute hepa B has is curable, curable if you prevent it in the early stage. Chronic hepa B wich can last a lifetime. But there are remedies not to lead into cirrhosis or they called it liver cancer. Eat healthy food especially fruits and vegetables, exercise everyday and also take a food supplement to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Try to check sites about hepatitis B for additional info like Fire01 placed in his replies. Also check my website of nutritional food supplement: http://francisk.usana.com USANA has a hepasil DTX it is good for the liver. It supplies important nutrients that support the liver and balance the detoxification process within the body. This nutritional supplement is good for your friend who have hepatitis B. If she is interested to take nutritional food supplements i will send to you the comprehensive guide for recommendation use of the products. I hope this will help your friend. Have a nice day.

Ohowwww !!! It is not incurable dear, to cure it completely the white blood cells has to be replaced. Even the H1n1 is curable by changing the blood cells. I pray for your friends health and wealthness, you also help your friend to your maximum extent, she needs help and love.
