When was the last time you visited a new city? I'm talking about visiting a new city for the very first time. I love to travel, and want to go somewhere that I have never been before. I am craving a trip something fierce. Does anyone have any good ideas? Tell me about the one of your favorite trips to a new city. Would you rather go somewhere new, or go back to somewhere that you have already traveled?

the last time i went to a new city was about 2 weeks ago.. it was actually a bit near from our place, but about 2 hours drive - no plane required to visit a friend whose dad has passed away. the place (or their village) was a village for all Philippine military or police members!

Wow, that sounds like a really unique place. I bet you felt safe and secure in a village like that with all of those retired police officers around. Thanks for sharing your experience here in this discussion, and have a great day!

No, unfortunately Wesley, I have never been to China. I have only been to the Philippines and barely to Japan, as far as Asia goes. However, I think that there is a lot to see and do in your country. I hope to travel there and many other places some day as well. Thank you for responding in this discussion, and have a great day!

I visited Cape Town last year with my toddler son. I was pregnant with my daughter on that wonderful trip. We got to explore beautiful Cape Town and the picturesque Garden Route. It was excellent to see the penguins at Boulder's Beach and go to pretty little Camp Cove. I loved going to Scratch Patch and digging around for the colorful tumble stones. My favorite city is Sydney and I discovered it when I was twenty years old. I loved seeing the harbor bridge and the white sails of the opera house. Cape Town is my second favorite city that I have been to. This summer I shall be taking my toddler son and baby daughter to Vancouver and Victoria. I prefer to visit new places on each trip I go on than go back to places I have previously been to. I recommend Prague, Budapest, Dubrovnik, Salzburg, Istanbul and Lisbon. I wish you happy traveling.

Thanks Maximax for the happy wishes. I really prefer to go to new cities as well, even though sometimes, like when I was in New York City, I feel like I needed a couple of months to cover that city. It sounds like you have been to a lot of neat places. I wonder, are you referring to Sydney, Australia and Vancouver, Canada? If so, that is quite amazing for one to give recommendations for places so far apart. Wow, you really have done some traveling. Australia is one of the countries that I really would like to visit. I also want to visit the many countries of Europe. I would start with the city of London, as I have seen and read a lot about it...plus, they speak English so it would be a good place to start. LOL Thank you for your response in this discussion, and have a great day here on myLot!

I like traveling. My last city I had never visited was to Surabaya. one of the cities in Indonesia. I am about to surabaya 1 year ago. I'm eager to travel to another city. but I can no longer travel. now I'm just being at home every day, and very rarely to leave the house. I'm eager to travel, the same way again.

I am very anxious to plan my next trip. Well, I guess I can't call it my very next trip, as I am going with my sister and Mom to Tennessee in May. That is to Gatlinburg, a city that I have been to many times, and with my mom as well. But, she can't do much traveling these days, and we wanted to do something really special for her 65th birthday. After that, either in the fall, or next summer, I am trying to thinking of a really exciting vacation. I would like to either go to a few states, and different bigger cities. Or perhaps go to London. My bf and I have been talking about this for a while, and I think that either one would work out for either of us. Just need to sit down, make a plan, and set a date. Thank you for responding in this discussion and have a beautiful day!

I know some people who just take trips to the same cities over and over. As a matter of fact, when we were kids it was kind of like that for us. We went on one vacation a year, and it was usually only north to Indiana or Ohio. Or south to Tennessee. I guess that was the furthest that our parents could afford to take all of us kids. LOL But at least we got to go. Now I have been to 41 of the United States and 5 other countries. I never get tired of it. Even places that I would have never even dreamed or thought of going, I really enjoy. So now, when I am offered the opportunity, I just say sure, why not. LOL Thank you for your response in this discussion, and have a great day here on myLot!

When I heard the name, Yangzhou, I thought that it was probably somewhere in Asia. I have barely been to the area, but I do think that it is very beautiful. Some of the countries, are just big islands. That is, even though they have islands off of them. I would love to travel the whole world, and then start all over again. I have this odd desire to go to Seattle, Washington. I know it rains a lot there, but there seems to be some neat things to see. I would like to see the needle as well as the houses that they call houseboats. They aren't like the typical houseboats that we see on the lakes in Kentucky. Instead, they are actually houses that are on the water. Thank you for responding in this discussion, and have a wonderful day!

I love to visit new places and when I travel I usually choose to visit a new place instead of going back to a place where I have already been. It is one of my goals to visit many different islands in Denmark. Last summer I visited 3 islands (Fanoe, Baagoe and Bjoernoe) and it was very interesting. Fanoe is quite big and we were able to bring our car and drive around on the island. Baagoe is much smaller than Fanoe, but it is also a very beautiful place. On Bjornoe we couldn't bring our car, because cars are not allowed on the island. It was a very peaceful place because there were no cars, and we walked around on the island for several hours.

There is an island like that up in Michigan. It is called Mackinac Island. It is very popular for people to travel. It is amazing how much people like to go to places where there are no cars, only bicycles and walking. I guess the bridge just to get to the island is a pretty long walk in itself. I'm not sure, but I would say I will probably make it there someday. I just don't think that I will enjoy that cold weather too much. I would have never thought of islands, when thinking of Denmark. You have given me something interesting to research on the globe. Thanks for the information and have a great day!

I like to go on vacation, no matter where it is. However, I do prefer to go to new cities, or cities that I have only visited once. Sometimes I think think, Yeah, I'd like to go back there. But there are just so many things and places to see I would rather just keep visiting new cities. I think it would be really difficult to visit them all in a lifetime. Thanks for responding in this discussion, and have a good day.
