Would you go into Outer Space or the Moon if you could?

I was reading an article about how there will be a space station built on our moon in the next decade or two and that non astronauts will be able to go there and visit. Would you go if money and time wasn't an issue? Or do you think the risk would be too much? Personally, I love watching the night sky and have a telescope which I use regularly. I can name many of the lovely constellations but I have no thoughts of wanting to travel into outer space. Would you enjoy a vacation to the moon and hopefully back again?

Why not? it's a once in a lifetime experience and not everyone will have that chance. So if given the chance i would grab it without second thoughts. Actually it's not the thought of hopping in the moon that appeals me but the view of the earth once we are on our way back. Even astronauts who've been able to travel through space claim that it's really a life changing effect just staring at earth at a distance.

I would give anything just to see what the world looks like and confirm if it's exactly as i was taught in elementary school many years ago....but seriously my visiting the place will just be a like a drive through maybe space craft circling a number of times and finally going back home because no matter how much cheese the moon is made off i wouldn't try or want to step a foot on it because hand might come out of dark places looming for me or my space craft could ge stranded there.

Sounds scary and exciting at the same time but I really dreamed of going to the moon even only in my dreams. If it may happen in real life then I will consider myself lucky because I will be able to see the millions of stars in the galaxy. It would be very interesting if you see the whole universe up there. But I don't want to stay there for long maybe just a visit for one week or two. I will surely miss the earth and I will not exchange it with another planet. Maybe someday going to the moon is already possible for an ordinary person like me.

I would love to do something like this if I had the opportunity! I love everything space! I love watching the Science channel as it shows a lot of these programs in relation to space exploration and the planets! I'm definitely interested in the building of the space station and that's definitely an interesting concept of building a space station on the moon. I'm sure that it would be far too expensive for the everyday human to experience but I guess anything is possible in the future! I'm sure the risk is well worth it in order to have a life time experience. I look on this idea with eager anticipation! Andrew

A vacation on the moon would be a very interesting experience. If I could go to the moon (providing that i also have the cash) and have the ability also to travel to the moon I would definently go. Traveling in space would be a risk but a small one considering they care about non-astronauts safety. The night sky still amazes me looking at the stars and the moon. It would also be cool to look the opposite way, looking at our planet earth from space. That sight would be very pleasant to look at. -Rezz

For me no because it is proven by the scientist that no person would live there so I don't want to die then I don't want to go there.

I like to go to the moon. I've always wondered what it's like to sleep there. Maybe i'll walk a bit then have a quick nap, then go back home.

Well my childhood dream is to become an astronaut. Watching the night sky was my exploring moments. Well i would love to travel not only to moon to all astro world and i always long for it to reside in space stations. Thanks for this discussion.

I would love a telescope so I could lose myself in the stars! I have always had a fascination with the planets, the moon and the solar system so yes, if I could travel to outer space then I would go. Although you can get a good idea of what it would all look like from photographs and what we see on television, I would still like to see it all for myself, with my very own eyes.

I would love to visit in the moon. That would be great! DIscovering our satellite and other possible heavenly bodies would be exciting. I bet many would love too if it wouldnt be too expensive. As long as we dont have to live there for days. But I dont think so its really a nice place to stay that long.
