These past couple of days, many many many newcomers (and not only) are posting their referral URLS at discussions and advertise their blogs. Seriously, I spend more time on reporting rather than posting with all these against the TOS discussions... Something CRITICAL has to be done to protect US the "LAWFUL" myLotters

Hello, Valkerion. I totally agree with you. A number of people, me included, have been put off participating in 'Make extra money' because of these spammers - and that's what they are, make no mistake. I don't see what we can do though, other than keep reporting. It would take a full time admin person to keep on top of the problem, and then I doubt if they'd catch everyone.

Yes, Valkerion, most of the newbies here are posting referral links, because they didn't read the FAQ's, but some of them keep posting referral links, even if we told them not to do it, because it is a violate the rules. Maybe they think they will got thousand of referrals if they post they links here... I don't know... I just skip discussions like that and I look for something interesting to read and discuss.

Hi valkerion. I know exactly what you mean. Sometimes one can be reporting on here more than posting and that is no fun at all. The money making interests do seem to be abused and most of the posts are nothing more than spam. What is worse, is when you give someone some friendly advice, that they are breaking the rules and then they just come back the next day and post the same stuff over and over again.

I have discovered I have more fun minding my own business. Mylot is deleting a lot of those posts so let the site do its job. We want to hear what you have to say. Mylot IS protecting us.

Hi marguicha! It IS our business though because myLot is what we make of it. If we help out and report the violations then admins will be quicker at removing them. That is why they ask us in the Guidelines to help out and why many of us do

I agree, diana, but up to a certain point. Imagine if we all spent ALL our time here reporting violations. I rather think that, if we don´t mind them (unless they come across our path) the´ll grow tired of doing it. I use part of my time reminding newbies about reading rules and guidelines and a bit of my time reporting mylotters who should know better. But my main reason to be here is to talk about other things with lovely people: I would not want to spend my time at a party throwing out intruders but rather want to spend it talking to my friends.

We are here to help new members and to ask them nicely to read the guidelines. Most of them are sincere and will not post again their personal links. The situation is exactly the same today than when I joined. It is not worsening. Maybe are you less patient ?

A week ago, a newcomer was explaining how to open 20 accounts in a bux. He understood what we said, and had 3 or 4 BR in a week. I haven't read this thread, but such things happen each week and I don't think that the situation is more "critical" today. The staff will remove the post in a few hours : it's 4 o'clock at myLot. I agree with you that there is a -- more -- serious problem with a few old members here.

A lot of people really abuse site like mylot. I just hope that they will change their attitude of using this mylot. They can gain lots of referral of what they are doing which is really unfair to us. Hopefully mylot will also getting rid of this one.

You know what? I won't even care anymore. I will just continue writing my guides for the newcomers and care about the ones that follow me

I will also report anything I see that is a violation of the TOS, and I will also tell the users that there discussion will be deleted because they violated the TOS. I have never had anyone get upset with me for telling them, as they are always thankful as they didn't know what they did was wrong. It is our duty according to the guidelines to report those that we see violating the TOS. Once we report them, then mylot will take care of them, and remove them much faster, but if we don't report then, they might not get removed as fast if at all. I don't like to have to report others, but sometimes it is necessary, in order for them to realize that what they did was wrong. Now, if they only remember what they did and not do it again. good luck to you and happy mylotting.

Your telling me! It has been a while since I hung out at the Lot. Boy, have I missed this place. I was going through discussions I could answer to and foUnd several discussions that broke the TOS. I had made mistakes as a newbie too, but not obvious ones. . I hope we find less of these mistakes. It would then be easier to help newbies with other queries that they may have. Here's hoping that your weekend has turned out well. Cheers!
