American Idol 2010: Top 9's theme will be...

This week's Top 9 will sing songs from the Top 100 iTunes Downloads. I saw the listing of songs and realized it's a lot of hip-hop and pop chart hits (P.Diddy, Black Eyed Peas, Rihanna, Ke$ha). What would you like your Idol to perform?

Really? I thought they are going to perform songs by Elvis Presley. I read it from some sites (mjsbigblog.com)

yup, sorry. wrong info. haha. I guess it is going to be Elvis. Which would again be hard for the contestants because they have to do something to the song to make it 'current'. I don't know a lot of Elvis songs and I'm afraid the younger audiences won't be able to relate either. What do you think, guys?

This is a great genre to sing. Everyone (well young people) will be more familiar with the song and can enjoy the show a little more. I watch every show and even though last week i didn't know most of the songs i still watched and had my favorites. I hope this week that Tim could sing a john mayor song if it is on the list of something towards that type of music. I think he would be good at that. Then lee needs to do something that is a chris daughtry kind of song because that would fit him really well. Andrew needs to get it going and redo a song again as he did paulas abduls song in the very begining. I also believe that others will do as well to if they all pick the right song.

Wow! That would be great cause most of the contestants are familiar with those songs and maybe its also one of their interests so no doubt they are going to have a very good performance this week. Two is going to be out and I hope people would make a good decision in whom they are going to vote for cause there were already a lot of people who were sent home when they are not suppose to.
