Do you still use homemade beauty remedies?

It seems that nowadays the market is full of beauty products for anything and everything, pretty feet, hand, under eyes circles, hair volumizer, and pretty much anything you can think of. I've tried several products and find that, most times, homemade remedies, like our grandmothers used have the same effect, if not a better one. For example, I put some petroleum jelly on my under eyes circles before going to bed, and it helps a lot, I also use honey to treat chapped lips and baby powder for oily hair. How about you? Do you just pick up products from stores or do you prefer homemade remedies? Do you have any remedies you would like to share?

I guess nothing beats home remedies, cheap yet very effective and no harmful effects which you usually get from chemically-formulated products. Petroleum jelly has a lot of many uses indeed. Its really amazing how it works on your skin. My mom tried applying pet jelly on her feet before going to bed and it really softens her skin. For me, i tried avocado on my face. I let it stay for about 30 minutes and rinsed with mild soap before bed. The next day, my friends at work told me i look radiant. I think its because avocados are rich in vitamin e. There a lot more but i haven't tried them myself.

Yes home made beauty remedies are always the best and most effective... They give no side effect. Most of the things in the kitchen can act as a remedy for curing illness as well as for beauty enhancing
