Eat a lot of tomatoes! Really, I'm not joking... I watched this BBC documentary (the title's "Truth About Food", really interesting and informative video) where they tested the effects of tomato as an antioxidant. To do this they subjected a willing subject (a famous personality in the UK, forgot her name) to a week-long diet packed with tomatoes, of course prepared differently. Before the experiment they did a spot test on her lower back where they subjected it to different UV intensities for a period of time, and then they measured how dark it got (darker means more unprotected UV exposure). AFter the week-long tomato diet (it was just mostly salads with lots of tomatoes, tomato salsa with chips, etc) they did the test again, and they were surprised to discover that the exposed skin was considerably lighter than last week's results - which means that somehow the tomato diet boosted her body's built-in protection against UV. I'm a big fan of tomatoes so I just keep on adding it to my meals these days. Of course I still go out with sunscreen on, but knowing that I'm extra protected helps. Happy summer!

I avoid the sun at all costs. Except in the early hours in the morning when it's perfectly cool outside and the sun's just about to rise or has just risen. I heard that 15 minutes of sun exposure a day is enough to get all the vitamin D's we need to keep us going. So I guess I'm not doing anything bad really, staying out of sun more of the time.
