is marie the mother in law from hell??

I love this show, the husband and wife banter is brilliant, but rays mother, poor debra, she must feel that she is the mother in law from hell, she's always running her down, taking rays side in an argument, and making snide comments, so tell me is this the mother in law from hell. Other than that shes a brilliant actress, and i recently saw her in aliens in the attic, and she was just as brilliant then! You gotta love her!

Yes I agree Marie is the mother in law from hell I like the show but the lady drives me crazy every time I watch it because of her. I also don't like the way Marie talks bad about Debra and Ray does not say nothing about it. If my mother in law ever did something like that I would be giving my husband a choice her or me. Another thing I don't care how bad you need a place you never move across the street from your in laws or parents.

It's been a while since I watched Everybody Loves Raymond. It is hilarious. lol. I used to have a blast watching that show. All of them are such fine actors. Ray's mom sure can get on anyone's nerves.
Have you heard of a serial called Remington Steele? Pierce Brosnan acted in it as a private investigator. Ray's mom acted in that serial too. She was much younger of course. But she was this jittery, middle aged assistant of his. She did a brilliant job with the role. She was almost a mom figure in that serial. :)
